Not Happy With Your Coachella Valley Dentist?

Dental ExamHello Coachella Valley dental blog visitors. Whether you stumbled upon this blog by mistake, or clicked here on purpose, welcome!

I am Dr. Anne A. Nicholas. My Cosmetic, Periodontal and Implant dental practice is called The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry . We are located at 73929 Larrea Street, Suite 2   Palm Desert, California. You can find information about my practice, services, and professional Palm Springs, CA dental team at http://palmdesertimplantdentist.com.

In my The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry dental blog, I post informative articles about dentistry including new Palm Desert cosmetic dental treatments, preventative Rancho Mirage, CA dental care, and news about my dental practice. Many of my patients visit my blog regularly and I hope you will also find useful dental information here.

Do you currently have a Palm Desert dentist? If you are in need of a dentist or are not happy with your current dentist, I invite you to visit my office, meet my friendly staff, and discuss your dental needs with me.

My approach to my profession emphasizes you, the patient.

My first priority is exceeding my patient’s expectations. Before I can provide dental treatment, however, I must become familiar with each patient. That is why your first consultation will take some time. We can’t get to know each other in five minutes.

How are you doing? What is the current condition of your teeth and gums? What are your fears and expectations about Palm Springs dental treatment? Do you have financial concerns regarding your dental needs? I recognize that each one of my patients has a unique set of circumstances.

At The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, we emphasize preventative dental care. When restorative dental treatment is necessary, I recommend the most conservative procedures. If you have pressing dental needs, let’s talk about your options and consider the long term consequences of each treatment. If I believe it is best to refer you to another specialist, I’ll do so without hesitation. I am committed to your well-being and want you to receive the best possible care.

If you are interested in Palm Desert cosmetic dentistry, I can also help you. I pursue continual training in the latest cosmetic treatments and have extensive experience performing individual tooth restorations, complete smile makeovers and everything in between. Did you know that I can completely redesign your smile if that is what you desire? Miracles are possible with cosmetic dentistry.

Please call us at (760) 340-1030 to book a consultation. I am confident you will feel good about choosing The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry for your dental care.

Are you embarrassed by damaged Teeth?

CrownsbeforeCrownafter

Damaged teeth can causes you embarrassment, do you agree? Even if all your other teeth are nicely shaped and pearly white, guess what other people notice? The tooth that is damaged or missing. You have probably experienced that yourself when you have looked at a smile that contains one discolored tooth. No matter how hard you try, the unsightly one is impossible to ignore.

A beautiful smile is an important component of your overall appearance. Unattractive teeth draw the eye away from other pleasing features such as thick shiny hair, gorgeous eyes or a peaches and cream complexion.

Fortunately, there are several cosmetic dental procedures to restore or repair one or more teeth. At The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in Palm Desert, we can complete most of them in one short visit. Think about it; you could achieve a stunning smile in less than an afternoon!

Veneers, Bonding and Cosmetic Implant Dentistry are affordable cosmetic dentistry procedures available in Palm Desert, Palm Springs at The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. We use dental bonding in a variety of applications. In addition to repairing damage, dental bonding can close gaps between teeth. Porcelain veneers are another minimally invasive cosmetic fix. Like cosmetic dental bonding, veneers correct chips, cracks and improve tooth shape.

What if your problem is not an unattractive tooth but a missing tooth? Don’t despair, a beautiful smile is still possible in Rancho Mirage and Indio with dental implants.

For more information about veneers, bonding, implants and other cosmetic dentistry procedures, call The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry at (760) 340-1030. We are conveniently located at 73929 Larrea Street, Suite 2 in Palm Desert. We provide advanced dentistry for patients in the Coachella Valley and the surrounding areas. We look forward to showing you cosmetic dentistry ‘before after’ pictures.

Are You Losing Your Dental Insurance Benefits?

dentalexam

This recession has really changed the way people do things.
Folks are saving more and charging less. They’re worrying
about the future, eating more dinners at home and putting
off purchases they once would have made without a thought.

There’s one place, though, where tons of people – maybe even
you — are leaving literally MILLIONS of dollars on the table,
and that’s their dental insurance.

How can that be?

My guess is that it’s because dental insurance isn’t like the
other kinds of insurance you buy.

You buy car insurance to cover you if you’re in an accident
or your car is damaged, and health insurance primarily to
insulate yourself from the high cost of treating a
serious illness or injury.

Dental insurance is different, though. It’s meant to
cover the ROUTINE and PREVENTIVE care you need
to protect your smile and your health — as well as contribute
a portion of the cost of more extensive treatment.

That makes dental insurance VERY valuable – if you
understand how it works and how to get the most out of it.

Use it or LOSE it

You see, there’s something else you need to remember
about dental insurance. It comes with an annual maximum
benefit (the top amount it will cover in a calendar year)
– and if you don’t use all of it by the end of that year
whatever is left simply disappears. NO ROLLOVER.

So if, for example, your annual maximum benefit is
$1,000 and you use just $200 of it, you’re leaving
$800 of YOUR money on the table.

That’s something you just can’t afford to do in times
like these.

How can we better Serve You in 2011?

Successful dentists have followed their patients onto the Internet, taking advantage of the medium to expand their offerings and transition from simply providing products or services to offering in-depth content about their services and industry.  The increasing online sophistication of patients in terms of being able to use multiple keywords, searches, specification/precision definitions, and online tools has driven the need for dentists to engage in a more interactive role with them.  In the research aspect of the buy cycle, patients initially need to find basic information on the product and services they are searching for, using online tools such as general search engines, dental websites, network forums and dental-specific search engine directories.

The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic, Sedation and Implant Dentistry has provided a dental-specific website which provides patients with qualified information about our products and services.  We have many videos for your viewing and white-papers patients can down-load to read information about the latest in dental procedures and technology.  It is our goal for 2011 to continue to provide dental information to educate and inform our patients concerning the latest in dentistry.

We would like to hear from you this coming year about how we can provide better service and information to help you.  Please feel free to email us: exquisitedentistry@yahoo.com or by telephone at 760-340-1030.  Feel free to fill out the (Contact Information form) as well.

Not your Parents or Grand Parents Dentistry in 2010

Dentistry today is much more advanced than the dentistry your Parents or Grand Parents experienced.  For example, if you have visited Dr. Anne A. Nicholas office in Palm Desert or Palm Springs, you noticed a more comfortable environment, live TV; soft music playing in the back ground all the while you were receiving your treatment.  Or, if your treatment called for oral conscious sedation, you most likely can’t even remember being at The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic, Sedation and Implant Dentistry.

Over the years, there have been many advances in techniques, tools and materials used to repair or replace your teeth.  Dentists like Dr. Anne A. Nicholas who stay current by staying state-of-the-art are now using digital computer imaging which is safer than traditional x-rays.  Dr. Nicholas can store, retrieve and transmit digital images much easier than was possible with traditional x-ray film.

Dr. Nicholas uses lasers, which is a more evasive procedure, which is also changing the face of dentistry. Laser surgery requires minimal anesthesia, minimizes swelling, and protects surrounding tissue.  Dr. Nicholas is one of the only dentists in Palm Desert or Palm Springs using lasers for detecting and treating dental problems.

Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing have found its way into dentistry as well.  Many dentists have CAD-CAM technology that allows dentists to perform restorations in a single visit. The types of procedures that can be completed in one visit include crowns, fillings, inlays, onlays and veneers.

If you have not been in to see a dentist in the last six months for an exam to determine your over-all dental health, what are you waiting for?  Call Dr. Anne A. Nicholas at The Palm Desert Center for Advanced Cosmetic, Sedation and Implant Dentistry.  Our office is located at 73-929 Larrea Street, Suite 2, Palm Desert, CA 92260.  To  Contact us by phone: (760-340-1030)

Conscious Sedation Dentistry

Sedation ImageWho enjoys going to see a dentist?  Let’s face it; this is not the way we prefer to spend our time.  In fact some people are scared to death to go see a dentist and defer the event as long as possible.  The thought of it just ruins their day.

If you are one of these people whose heart beats faster and palms start to sweat just thinking about going to see a dentist; then read on because advances in dental science now make your dental experience more enjoyable.

Palm Desert dentists like Anne A. Nicholas, D.D.S., Scott R. Adishian, D. D.S. and Harry Karna, D.D.S. understand your concerns and have a good understanding of Conscious Sedation Dentistry.  Conscious Sedation Dentistry has never been better in Palm Desert, Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.

Conscious Sedation dentistry is used with moderation for most dental procedures like dental implants, periodontics and prosthodontics (Cosmetic Dentistry).  Once you’ve experienced Conscious Sedation Dentistry, your fears will go away and you will even look forward to your next visit.

What is Conscious Sedation Dentistry? Is conscious sedation safe for me?  Oral sedation dentistry requires you to take a small pill one hour prior to your dental appointment; no needles or intravenous tubes required.  There is no general anesthesia, so no inherent risks are associated with this procedure. Yes it is safe!  Most likely you will sleep through the entire dental procedure and you will be in a relaxed state, free of fear, anxiety and apprehension.  Dr. Nicholas or one of her qualified staff members will be by your side monitoring the entire procedure, checking blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeter and other state-of-art equipment to insure your comfort and good health.

If you require complex treatment requiring multiple procedures, conscious sedation will allow the dentist to do more treatment per session, cutting down on your total office visits.  Imagine being able to visit a dentist, with no fear, sweating palms, rapidly beating heart rate; this will be your experience in Palm Desert with Anne A. Nicholas, D.D.S., Inc.

Call 760.340.1030 for more information about Conscious Sedation Dentistry or visit our website: http://palmdesertimplantdentist.com.
